Transitioning To My Summer Wardrobe With Missguided

Transitioning To My Summer Wardrobe With Missguided

This week has thrown us Irish people into a summer time craze. There have been whispers of ‘Beer-Garden’ and fake tanned ankles are now everywhere. I for one am overjoyed by this sudden injection of heat. Mainly to warm my frozen bones and get over this illness, although everyone is happier when its sunny!

I looked at my wardrobe with despair last week when I realised that I only owned Winter clothes. Im terrible at dressing for summer, even in the warmest day I’m searching for a jumper. So guess what I ordered?

I just can’t commit to cute vest and string tops or the hideous open shoulder concept.

Therefore my transition from Spring to Summer ended up like this…

It was my first order with Missguided and I have to say it was a great experience! Quick delivery, easy and free returns and so many options. I don’t usually follow trends and they have something for everyone.

I had ordered the oversized parka in an 8 from the petite range. It was way too big so I returned that and ordered it in a 4. A much better fit and I couldn’t say no to those sequins!

All the jumpers I ordered are S/M or an 8. I might in future order the size down as they are generous fits. I am aware I have an issue with the colour grey and no I don’t care! The Khaki jumper is the same knit and texture as the burnt orange I’m wearing but is off the shoulder rather than backless. Extremely comfy and warm too 🙂

Along with these I did pick up some quite shoes from Primark this week, I feel like a Spice Girl in them so what’s not to love?

  1. Gorgeous Ebony! Thanks for the lovely brunch and mention too x

    1. Anytime! Thanks for a lovely morning! x

  2. I love the parka jacket on you! It has to be very warm to get me to bare my flesh too. I’m always frozen! 🙂

    1. If its not like bath water I aint getting in! No beach in Ireland can make me enjoy summer so I’m always wrapped up!

  3. I had to laugh at the fake tanned ankles, I have been seeing ALOT of them in N.Ireland too. Some people get overly excited and hit the beach in the bikini’s but I have to say I’m a bit more like yourself. Hard to beat a good tee and some ripped jeans. To be able to wear sandles and not have to carry a coat everywhere is amazing and I totally agree everyone is in such a great mood when the sun’s out.

OH! And I absolutely love your hair.

    1. Oh yes sandal weather is the best it would be lovely! its just a much nicer place in the sun 🙂 Thank you my hair truly has a mind of its own x

  4. Love your hair, too – very “model” – and the blog! That jumper with the bows is lovely. Much better than the bare shoulders tops, which always remind me of a pirate movie.

    1. Thanks Tienne! I’m forever an Autumn girl! Hope the weather improves for you soon x
